A Bogus browser updates claims your browser is out of date and ask you to install the update in your system; Actually , it downloads a malware. The fake page come to light when user report to the GIF Labs.
The Fake notification while visiting the page "Attention! Your Browser is out of date. We recommend to update it . The new browser vesion will protect your computer from different internet-dangers and make it safer."
The page urged users to install the update.exe. Don't think it is legitimate update file , it is malware detected as "Trojan.Win32.Generic!BT". the trojan creates two malwares namely uninstall.exe, app.exe.
The app.exe run and bring you to the survey scam page. This executable connects to various websites to download and install random programs, some of which may be legitimate.
app.exe executes whenever the infected system starts Windows, enabling it to download and install new programs that are potentially harmful to the already infected system.
