Searching "Download Chrome" leads to potentially malicious content

Searching for link to download the google chrome may lead you to potentially malicious content, warned by websense Researcher. The 36th result of "Download Chrome" search results in Compromised Chrome Plugin Forum .

The chromplugins.org is a legitimate, unofficial Google Chrome plugin forum Web page. But hackers infected this site and redirect the site to two malicious websites.

One of the sites is a Google AdSense typo-squatted URL, and the other one  is located at best-videogames.com.

"One indicator that this is a compromised site, as opposed to a site set up for strictly malicious purposes, is that the whois registration information, which helps indicate the reputation, is registered in 2008. The registration details also seem to indicate that real information was provided. Again, this isn't a 100%, foolproof indication that the site was compromised, but it does help as circumstantial evidence." Researcher said.
