Anonymous Hackers have attacked the website belong to NASDAQ and Bats stock exchanges over the past two days with the DDOS attack. The website was down at times on Tuesday although it was back online and functioning normally late in the day.
A Hackers group, L0NGwave99 have claimed to be responsible for the hack and dubbed the operation as "Operation Digital Tornado" .
"This DDoS Operation over NASDAQ is done in support of the great and rooted 99% movement, whom the L0NGwave99 Group has decided to give a present." Hackers write in the pastebin.
Nasdaq did not immediately reply to an inquiry from but The Wall Street Journal quoted a spokesman as saying that "During the past 24 hours, Nasdaq OMX has experienced intermittent service disruptions on our corporate websites."
"Our trading systems were not affected and there were no Exchange customer disruptions associated with the incident," a Bats spokeswoman said.
