Iran has prohibited import of foreign computer security software, says Reza Taghipour, Iran's Information and Communications Technology Minister.
Few days back, Iranian intelligence official said an estimated 16,000 computers were infected by the Stuxnet virus, but did not specify whether worldwide or just in Iran.
Taghipour stressed that no foreign security solutions will be imported into the country, Iran will develop its own Security softwares, developed by Iran's programmers.
He added that domestic security programs have been improving, and Iran will use them, instead of foreign security software, which cannot be trusted.
He also said the The Bonian Daneshpajouhan Institute has about 25 smaller firms that develop domestic security software of various nature, and country will rely on it.
