SourceForge takes down the Anonymous OS

Open Source software distributor SourceForge has take Anonymous Os offline and suspend this project ,as it cotains full of a variety of malwares or backdoors.

Initially Anonymous OS Live, released on 12 March, claimed to have various hacking tools and utilities. However , official Anonymous members described the distribution as a fake which allegedly contains viruses and Trojan rather than hacking tools. "The Anon OS is fake it is wrapped in trojans. RT," AnonOps warns. Also, various security experts verified this distribution is indeed a security risk.

"Without trust, Open Source fails."said SourceForge in blog post. "Yesterday we starting hearing some buzz about a new project called “Anonymous-OS” - people claiming that it was not affiliated in any way with the group referring to itself as “Anonymous” , and also that the software itself was full of a variety of trojans, malware, viruses, or backdoors."

"we have therefore decided to take this download offline and suspend this project until we have more information that might lead us to think differently. We’ll be in touch with the project admin, and let you know if and when we find out anything to contrary, but for now, that’s what we’re doing."

According to the Digital Trends report, the developer of Anonymous Os continues to argue that the distribution is safe and posted the result of Rootkit hunter test in pastebin(http://pastebin.com/jcyXHRbu).  However with no way to prove the test itself hasn’t been tampered with, it’s unlikely to change many people’s minds.
