The official website of Jewish Agency for Israel has been temporarily brought down over the past weekend as a result of DDoS attack.
According to local news report, the website experienced attacks originating from Austria, Brazil, Russia, Saudi Arabia and other nations.
The continued attacks brought down the site, causing it to be available intermittently and endangering the information stored on it.
Chief information officer Dov Yahav eventually decided to block the Corporate Web Server for external users, thus preventing possible damage.
At the time of writing, the site has returned to normal after security upgrades were implemented.
