Interpol gave data on compromised cards to the Central Bank

The Bank of Russia got a large number of card details of customers of Russian banks via Interpol.

The deputy head of the General Directorate of Security and Information Protection of the Central Bank of Artyom Sychev said that these data could easily be used by many fraudsters.

While, speaking at the XIX All-Russian banking conference, he said that investigation is still under process and till now they got the information that "a sufficiently large volume of compromised cards."

Hackers used a skimming device to obtain the information about cards, they put the device into the card slot of the ATM.

 If fraudsters have got the details of the card, users data or logins and passwords then the card is considered to be compromised. Through this information, fraudsters could easily access online Bank or mobile app.
