The famous Russian hacker Yevgeny Nikulin, who was previously accused of hacking CIA servers, refused to make a psychiatric examination.
The lawyer of hacker Arkadii Bukh insisted on holding such examination. During the trial, the cyber criminal's lawyer said that the judge requested such procedure to make sure that Nikulin is able to answer for his words and actions. Hearings will be held on 8-9 October.
As a reminder, the United States accused the Russian hacker of hacking CIA servers. He was detained in October 2016 in Prague at the request of the US intelligence services. Before that Washington demanded to detain a Russian citizen in connection with "attacks on the websites of private American companies."
An interesting fact is that the hacker was forcibly detained in a psychiatric hospital in the Czech Republic. In medical records there is evidence of the use of "punitive psychiatry" against the Russian. According to the hacker, services tried to discredit him advance before the investigation.
On November 24, the lawyer provided all materials to the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic and demanded to extradite Nikulin to the country of citizenship. Later in April, the Czech Republic announced the extradition of the Russian cyber criminal in the United States, where he was wanted for cyber attacks on social networks.
Yevgeny Nikulin, who is also accused of fraud in Russia, is located in Prague prison since 2016 as a result of a special operation by the FBI. Recently Mass Media reported the escape of the Russian cyber criminal, but this information was false.
