University sites are being targeted by Team Dig7tal

The hacker group known as 'Team Dig7tal', breaking into University websites and leaked confidential data. They hacked into sites belong to University of Florida,Stanford University,University of Nebraska.

Hacker leaked the part of the database belong to University of Florida.  "These databases have tens of thousands of entries each, so I only dumped a sample of the first DB " Hacker said.

Earlier of this month, University of Florida notified users that database could have been compromised.  The recent hack clearly indicates that site is still vulnerable.

Hackers dumped the data belong to University of Nebraksa - Lincoln in AnonPaste.  "They failed to fix the SQL i vulnerability the first time, so it's a little worse this time. I'm hoping they'll take the time to fix it after this one. Probably not though...Anyway, let's get started." Hacker said.

The data leak contains username ,email address, hashed passwords, and other database details.

Health Council Canada hacked by TeamDigi7al

 

A Hacker called as 'Th1nkT0k3n', from TeamDigi7al, break into the Health Council Canada website by exploiting the SQL injection vulnerability and extracted confidential data from the database.

"I discovered a vuln on HealthCouncilCanada.ca From there I found the rest of the garbage.Once I started to sniff through the dbs, I stumbled upon some major n00b's 'work'."Hacker said in the leak.

"Whoever is in charge of this wackness should be let go. Your work is poop, admin!"


The leak contains database details, email address, passwords(plain text). The leak also contains data belong to some other sites.

University of New Brunswick site breached by Team Dig7tal hackers

Team Dig7tal hackers collective break into the University of New Brunswick by exploiting the SQL Injection vulnerability and compromised the database.

Hackers leaked the part of stolen data. The leaked information the hacker is referring to consists of 234 database names, 68 table names from the budget_management database, and 96 records from the employers table. From the user table, the hacker leaked 159 password hashes and usernames.

The dump also contains some sensitive information, including the administrator’s username and password (in clear text), and 202 employer entries comprising email addresses, IDs, names, passwords and websites.

Also,Hackers have send emails to the University's staff to notify them about the breach.

“I did not take nor did I leak any of the student’s sensitive information. However, your site is terribly vulnerabile and I suggest you patch it ADMIN. It’s your damn job! Information leaked is only to demonstrate how pathetic your security is,” Th1nkT0k3n said in the email he sent to the university.

“Also, I hope you have a great Monday Admin! Students and their parents give their hard earned money to this University and they should not have to worry about their sensitive information being leaked! Person in charge of your IT should be let go,” he added.
