Don Bailey, a senior security consultant with iSec Partners,  found a way to hack the popular car alarm system and he can unlock cars by sending few text messages from his mobile.

Bailey said the attack can be used against the traffic control systems, home control and automation systems, and SCADA sensor.

He declined to share which cars or which auto systems are vulnerable to the attack .

"What I got in two hours with the car alarm is pretty horrifying when you consider other devices like this, such as SCADA systems and traffic-control cameras. How quick and easy it is to re-engineer them is pretty scary," Dark Reading report quoted as Bailey saying.
